“I am writing this letter in my capacity as Director of the Regional Music School of the City of Dudelange to express my strong support for the Dutch Taiko Heritage Foundation and its associated organisations, Circle Percussion and the Taikoschool House of Circles.
Over the years, we have had the pleasure of collaborating with Circle Percussion on several educational and performing projects, including percussion workshops and concerts organised in 2014, 2015, and most recently in 2025. These activities were aimed at children and young musicians from our music school and were met with great enthusiasm. The participants were highly satisfied, not only with the artistic quality of the performances, but also with the engaging, inclusive, and inspiring educational approach.
The 2025 project took place in the prestigious context of the celebration of the accession to the throne of Guillaume of Luxembourg and was presented in his presence. This event highlighted the artistic excellence and cultural relevance of Circle Percussion and further demonstrated their ability to contribute meaningfully to high-profile and ceremonial occasions.
Our pedagogical team particularly appreciated the high level of professionalism, the clear educational structure, and the ability of the instructors to adapt taiko practice to young audiences. The workshops were both musically enriching and culturally meaningful, offering students a unique opportunity to discover taiko as a living art form that combines discipline, creativity, and collective expression.
Based on our positive experiences, I am confident that the Dutch Taiko Heritage Foundation plays a crucial role in safeguarding, promoting, and transmitting taiko culture in Europe. Its commitment to education and artistic excellence makes it a valuable and credible institution within the international taiko community.
I am pleased to recommend the Dutch Taiko Heritage Foundation without reservation and wish them every success in their future projects, including those planned for 2026.”
