Jimmie Gubbels serves as the Japan Communications Representative within the Dutch Taiko Heritage Foundation. With a background in Japanese Language and Culture from Leiden University, Jimmie combines academic insight with first-hand cultural experience. From the bustling cities to the remote mountain regions of Japan, he has immersed himself in the diversity of Japanese society through multiple study and cultural trips.
His fascination with taiko began in Japan and continued in the Netherlands, where he further developed his skills with groups such as Yamato and Circle Percussion.
